GIVING TO THE HOLY SPIRIT AND ST EDWARD CHURCH

“Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also,” (Matthew 6:21)

How will we use your gifts?

Our listed church and the presbytery are over 100 years old with a more recent hall.

Between 2016 and 2022 we have had to spend over £160,000 on the site, using our savings
and fundraising efforts.

The presbytery has damp and heating problems.

The church roof needs more repairs.

The hall kitchen and window sealed units are due for renewal.

The listed iron gates are badly corroded.

The church needs redecoration……….

The list goes on, the costs mount up, our income has reduced.

Your gifts will help the Catholic community in Swanage to pay for work like this and to save for larger items.

Legacy

Many thoughtful people have remembered our church in their wills, continuing the connection they have had with the church through their lives.
These gifts help us enormously.

Gifts of money or any other assets that you leave to a charity under your Will can be made free of tax.
The Diocese of Plymouth and all its parishes are a recognised charity (registered charity no.213227).
Your solicitor will be able to advise you of the tax advantages of leaving part of your estate to the church.
