Parishioners at St Joseph’s were among the first to congratulate Mary and Jim Parsons on the occasion of their Diamond Wedding anniversary. After Mass, Fr. Tim presented them with a framed blessing from the Pope. They were accompanied by Mary’s guide dog Wesley who has now become a regular attendee at Mass.
After the service, the couple celebrated with a glass of prosecco and a fine spread (including a cake!).
This is the start of a week of celebrations for Mary and Jim who will be welcoming family members from the other side of the world.
